Pablo T, your third pictorial period, titled "Christian Meditations," has achieved great success in Italy between 2024 and 2025. What are the main works of this cycle?

"The "Christian Meditations" period is characterized by two major pictorial cycles: "The Informal Way of the Cross" and "The Seven Words of Jesus on the Cross." These are works that explore spirituality through an abstract language, capable of profoundly touching the soul of the observer.

The Way of the Cross cycle has been exhibited in prestigious venues. What has this experience meant for you?

"The work had its world premiere in 2024 at the Museo delle Balestre, Palazzo del Bargello, in Gubbio, a place of great symbolic value. Later, in January 2025, it was exhibited at the Diocesan Museum of Massa as part of the diocesan cultural project dedicated to the Jubilee Year "Pilgrims of Hope." Here, the cycle engaged in dialogue with masterpieces such as Bernini's Crucifix, an extraordinary experience that enriched the very meaning of the works.

Currently, your works are exhibited at the Abbey of Polirone. What is the connection between your sacred cycle and the great works of religious painting tradition?

"The connection is more evident than one might imagine. Each work in the "Sacred Cycles" contains spiritual and symbolic tradition, combined with a modernist and countercurrent vision. I use light, shadows, and colors that reflect the soul of the viewer, creating an immersive experience. It is art that seeks to awaken consciences and revive dormant emotions.

How does your interpretation fit alongside artists like Girolamo Bonsignori or Correggio?

"The artistic approach we studied with the Curator has been nothing short of striking and, I can now say, successful. The idea behind the exhibition was to create a close dialogue between the works of "Christian Meditations" and timeless masterpieces such as those of Bonsignori and Correggio. The past and present meet delicately, forming a unique union. Visitors feel the mystery and emotion of art on their skin.

Is there a particular work in the cycle that you are most attached to?

"Each work is unique, but perhaps in the cycle "The Seven Words of Jesus on the Cross," the fourth one moves me the most. It is the moment when Jesus is, for an instant, a man among men, making it incredibly touching.

Do you believe that contemporary art can still play an important role in reflecting on the sacred?

"Absolutely. Only a certain type of art, the most courageous kind, can still shake our society. Art is a means to convey profound messages and bring people closer to spiritual and human values. But it must be understood, valued, and supported; otherwise, it risks disappearing.

What is your personal vision of spirituality in art?

"For me, it means Peace. Inner peace and peace around us. Respecting ourselves and others. Creating a moment of contemplation and inner prayer, regardless of faith. Art must generate righteous thoughts and be a path toward inner growth.

What did it mean for you to exhibit in such a historically and spiritually significant place as the Abbey of Polirone?

"The greatest Italian masters have exhibited at Polirone, and I feel that this place was waiting for me to challenge myself. When I stepped into this austere yet emotionally charged space, I was almost moved. I reflected on how small humans are in the face of the supreme mystery and how much we all need to rediscover ourselves in the silence of art. Here, a true inner transformation towards the infinite can begin.
